Considerable political support, strong sanctions against Russia, financial aid to our country – over two billion pounds were allocated for security and defense on February 24.
➡️ Britain’s role in defending freedom is truly global. Although it reflects the position of the British public, the leadership and charisma of the head of state have always been of particular importance. Especially at this time – the time of Russia’s full-scale anti-European war, which began its attack on Europe from our state itself. It is also not surprising that Ukrainians feel personal gratitude to Boris.
➡️ But let us not forget that we are building relations between our countries. The support of Great Britain for Ukraine should not change, no matter what happens in the London power circles – Boris and all our friends in the United Kingdom have confirmed this to me.
➡️ I met today in Kyiv with representatives of the U.S. Congress – Senators Lyndsey Graham and Richard Blumenthal. They represent two parties, the Republican and the Democratic Party, both of which are strongly pro-Ukraine. They were the authors of the resolution that urged the State Department to recognize Russia as a sponsor of terrorism. I commend them for this activism and I hope it will be brought to fruition.
➡️ Informed the senators about the situation at the front line and what the occupants are preparing for. In each area, our partners have accurate information about our defense needs. This applies to antiaircraft defense and sophisticated reactive artillery. If we provide more defense assistance to Ukraine now, the war will end with our victory sooner, and the damage to the rest of the world and to the United States from Russia’s pressure on the democratic society will be less.
Tomorrow I will continue my series of appeals to European parliaments – Slovenia is on the line. Tomorrow there will also be a lot of internal Ukrainian news – a very interesting day ahead.
➡️ At the end of the conference in Lugano, which was devoted to Ukraine’s food industry, the Ukrainian government has already reached agreements on emergency aid to our country worth over $2 billion – this money will be used to strengthen the budget and prepare for the winter.
By the way, export of Ukrainian electric power to the EU countries, which has already started, is greatly supported both now and during the heating season. The price of electricity on the European market is higher than in Ukraine, which will allow energy companies to use the money they have earned to provide for Ukrainian consumers. And at flat rates.
Also, the Uryadovites are actively working on the logistics of agrarian exports, I heard today the Minister of Infrastructure and the Minister of Agrarian Policy. We will do everything to preserve access to the world market despite the Russian blockade of our ports.

➡️ Сьогодні головною темою в нашій країні стала британська тема – рішення Бориса Джонсона залишити посаду голови партії та Прем’єр-міністра. Вдень я говорив з ним і подякував за підтримку, яку ми одержали від першого дня російського терору.
➡️ Передусім це зброя: комплекси протиповітряної оборони – «Стінгери», круті протитанкові системи NLAW, а ще – артилерія, боєприпаси, броньовані машини та багато-багато всього іншого. Вагома політична підтримка, сильні санкції проти Росії, фінансова допомога нашій державі – лише на потреби безпеки й оборони від 24 лютого виділено понад два мільярди фунтів.
➡️ Роль Британії у захисті свободи – справді глобальна. І хоча це відображення позиції британського суспільства, все ж таки лідерство й харизма керівника держави завжди мають особливе значення. І тим більше в такий час – час повномасштабної антиєвропейської війни Росії, яка розпочала наступ на Європу саме з нашої держави. Тож не дивно, що українці відчувають особисту вдячність Борису.
➡️ Але все ж не забуваймо, що відносини ми будуємо між державами. Підтримка Великою Британією України не має змінитися, хоч би що відбувалося в лондонських владних колах, – і Борис, і всі наші друзі у Сполученому Королівстві запевнили мене в цьому.
➡️ Зустрівся сьогодні в Києві з представниками Конгресу США – сенаторами Ліндсі Гремом і Річардом Блюменталем. Вони представляють обидві партії, Республіканську й Демократичну, і обидва дуже принципово підтримують Україну. Саме вони стали авторами резолюції, яка закликає Державний департамент визнати Росію державою – спонсором тероризму. Подякував їм за цю активність і сподіваюся, що вона буде доведена до результату.
➡️ Поінформував сенаторів про ситуацію на передовій, про те, до чого готуються окупанти. По кожному з напрямків наші партнери мають точну інформацію щодо наших оборонних потреб. Це стосується протиповітряної оборони, сучасної реактивної артилерії. Що більшою буде оборонна допомога Україні зараз, то швидше війна закінчиться нашою перемогою й меншими будуть збитки усіх країн світу, збитки Сполучених Штатів від російського тиску на демократичні суспільства.
➡️ Завтра продовжу серію звернень до європейських парламентів – на черзі Словенія. Завтра ж буде й багато внутрішньоукраїнських новин – попереду дуже змістовний день.
➡️ Після завершення конференції в Лугано, яка була присвячена відбудові України, урядовці вже мають домовленості щодо невідкладної допомоги нашій державі обсягом понад $2 млрд – ці кошти будуть спрямовані на посилення бюджету й підготовку до зими.
➡️ До речі, вагомою підтримкою і зараз, і протягом опалювального сезону є експорт української електрики в країни Євросоюзу, який вже розпочався. Ціна на електрику на європейському ринку вища, ніж в Україні, і це дасть змогу енергокомпаніям використати зароблені кошти для забезпечення українських споживачів. Причому при незмінних тарифах.
➡️ Також урядовці активно працюють над логістикою аграрного експорту, заслухав сьогодні щодо цього міністра інфраструктури та міністра аграрної політики. Зробимо все, щоб зберегти доступ до світового ринку попри російську блокаду наших портів.
➡️ Хочу сьогодні подякувати за завершальний етап боротьби за Зміїний – там встановлено наш національний прапор. Два місяці тривала ця операція. Розвідка, Сили спеціальних операцій, «альфівці» СБУ, прикордонники, артилеристи, Військово-Морські сили, Повітряні сили. І хай тепер кожен російський капітан – чи то корабля, чи то літака – бачить український прапор на Зміїному і знає, що нашу державу не зламати.
